I said it a few times: the righteous struggle for preservation of mainstream culture was lost before it even started. A hypothetical first primate at the first fire was not a traditionalist; he was not attached to the land, and while he may be forgiven for a possessive and greedy nature of apes and monkeys, we don't have to follow _that_.

We owe _nothing_ to tradition, if it is understood as a simple act of liking yourself for being yourself. What is going on here is a world-scale act of trickery: mere tradition is substituted for living tradition, which is too much work for most people on most days.

We owe _nothing_ to the land where someone lived for many years but did not keep building. We owe _nothing_ to political thought that did not keep up with passage of time, and properly belongs in medieval religious communes, or in the 19th century colonial empires. We owe _nothing_ to, in fact, many of us are alive despite, family values that started with understanding that people are property and progressed only to understanding that people are valuable property.

The land belongs to a starship pilot, and not a square foot of it to a sectarian leader.
